This is basically a regular sewing machine, with many ordinary stitches, as are most machines in this price range. There is such a lot of variety these days and they are confusing, a new language, lol. This computerised machine has around 99 different stitches, some of which can be changed in size (wider or longer) a little. It will have 4 or 5 different button hole types it has stretch and overlocking type stitches, and a good selection of decorative stitches, all done by setting the number on the screen for that stitch, done by up and down buttons, really, really easy, also some stitches could do twin needle sewing. I haven't seen the machine, only on tv but it looks very portable and has a good handle, many of the slightly larger machines don't and I find them difficult to move, as they don't feel safe in my hand, nothing really to grip. One feature I really like about this machine is the stop start button and speed slide. Using a foot peddle, is a pest sometimes and the wire to the machine can be a bit stiff and move around. Hope this info helps but do check out the other Singer on sale, very tempting 225 stitches, wow. I'm greedy I know, enjoy.
