Letterpress Machines aid the letterpress printing process by debossing designs onto a material. In other words, letterpress printing is the opposite of embossing. Instead of leaving a raised impression in paper, these machines leave a depressed imprint of a design using printing plates, inks and brayers.
There are many important Letterpress Accessories you need to think about purchasing before you begin this process. Firstly you'll need a selection of printing plates so that you have a choice of designs to deboss. You'll also need a selection of letterpress inks and a brayer or two to complete the process. We recommend that you purchase oil-based or rubber-based ink in an array of different colours for optimum design choice, plus a soft rubber brayer up to 6 inches wide. You'll often find that there are kits available containing a huge amount of these basic supplies to get you started, which will no doubt save you a lot of time and money when beginning your letterpress printing journey!
