The club magazine changed to a new turning page style website from Issue 27. Some customers have complained that they are not able to open the magazine and that they only get folders. When you first open your CD you need to double click on START_HERE.html (Step 1). Then click on Volume 1 or Volume 2 of the CD (Step 2). Once you click on either volume you will be presented with a folder. Please find the icon that says 'Volume 1 (Double Click to Open)' and double click to open (Step 3).
Some machines come up with a warning asking if you wish to 'run' this application just click 'run' and your magazine should then load.
As always here at Craft we try to make your experience easy and fun. If you are still having trouble please contact a member of our customer service team and they will be happy to help you.
Click on the Projects link found at the top of this site then use your username and password. Alternatively you can click here to log in.
CAUSE - This will be caused by either your username or password being entered incorrectly.
SOLUTION - Double check that you are entering the correct details EXACTLY as they appear on your welcoming letter or email. If you've been trying for some time, try using the < Delete > key on your keyboard a number of times in each box, before making the entries. If you are still experiencing problems please contact our Customer Service team on 08431 681 000.
At the top of the Club Homepage, you will see a link called Club click on this to see your club homepage. From here you will be able to access your club magazine, projects and get news on club events or shows.
CAUSE - This will be due to a number of incorrect settings on your computer. The most common cause is due to active "pop-up blockers", literally stopping the content window from popping u. This will usually be accompanied by a short 'be-doop' sound.
SOLUTION - Although the blocker is doing its job, you need to alter the setting to allow pop-ups from the Craft website. This can be done in a number of ways:
If not, you may not got the relevant software loaded on your PC to enable your content to be viewed. This software is called 'Flash'. You can download it free, simply by visiting Adobe, clicking on the link for 'Agree and install now' and following the instructions.
CAUSE - The reason for this is likely to be that your Temporary Internet Folder is full.
SOLUTION - If you are using Internet Explorer, go to the General section of your Internet Settings via the control panel, or the Tool drop down menu in Internet Explorer, click on the "Delete Files" button, tick the box next to "Delete Offline Files" and then click "OK" This box will then close. Now close down your browser and reload to re-access the content.
CAUSE - It sounds like you are using a small screen size. This website is optimised for the1024x768 screen size.
SOLUTION - You can get round this by right-clicking your mouse over your desktop background/wallpaper then clicking "properties" on the drop-down menu. This will bring up the settings window. Click on the "settings" tab. To the bottom left of this box will be a slider bar which is likely to be set to 800 x 600. Move this along to 1024 x 768, then click "Apply" and "OK". This will solve the problem but will make all the other things on your desktop look a little smaller. If this is undesirable, simply reverse this simple procedure when you have finished with the content.
CAUSE - Pop-up blockers have been set or incorrect software has been loaded.
SOLUTION - Firstly, you must have 'Adobe Acrobat Reader' installed on your computer to download any templates or worksheets. You can download it for free on the Adobe website. If you have done this and still have problems please follow the steps in 'the club content won't load'

It is quite likely that your video settings are not set up correctly. The most common cause is that an application called 'QuickTime' is trying to play the video, rather than Flash. Select 'QuickTime Player' from your 'Programs' list in the 'Start' menu. Click 'Edit', then 'Preferences' and then 'QuickTime Preferences'. In the 'file types' tab, you must ensure that the 'streaming' option in unchecked'. Next, click on the 'browser' tab, followed by the 'MIME settings' and again remove the tick from the 'streaming' option. Click 'apply', then Ok.
Flash is a system that allows people to run animations and dynamic presentations on the web. Usually, web pages are 'static' (ie there is very little movement on the page) and can be compared to the pages of a magazine. Pages developed using Flash can better be compared to animations or films because the content can be presented in a time-based format. This is why Flash presentations are often referred to as 'movies'. If you need to download flash click here.
The Flash player is a free accessory (referred to as a 'plug-in') that allows the user to view Flash movies. If you try to view the movie without the player, then the Flash presentation will not show and you will probably get a message telling you that you need to download the player. To download the most recent player click here.
It is very likely that you will already have the Flash player installed on your computer since it is automatically provided with many of the more recent browsers. If you cannot see Flash movies then you will need to download the player from the Adobe web site. The download will take a minute or two over a 56k modem and can be used as soon as download is complete. The player only needs to be installed once.
Install the Flash player - http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
If you do have any problems with downloading the Flash player, then you can get help from the Adobe web site.
