Andy was born in Scotland, not too long ago, and has since lived in Yorkshire, Manchester, Leicestershire, 'The South East', and London. He is now settled in the Midlands.
After gaining a BA (Hons) at Loughborough University and a Postgraduate Diploma at London's Drama Studio, Andy took on various theatrical, television, and commercial jobs.
An award-winning scriptwriter and editor, Andy's short film works have been shown all over the world, winning international film festival awards, and culminating in his first feature film - LAST PASSENGER - released in October 2013 to critical acclaim.
Andy is also an experienced stand-up comic, having toured on the National Student Comedy Network and performed at some of the top venues in the UK, including The Comedy Store in London and The Glee Club in Birmingham.
As a voice-over artist, Andy has voiced various adverts and projects – including Channel 4's popular 'Coach Trip' series.
As a presenter on Ideal World for over 10 years now, Andy has developed a style that is informative, but fun.
Andy married co-presenter, Loen, in December 2004, and they are the proud owners of an Alaskan Malamute called Oban.
What did you do before Create and Craft?
I presented on Ideal World for 10 years and a couple of other channels. Prior to that, I worked for the BBC.
Most embarrassing on-screen moment?
There have been so many – but I have learnt to laugh about them and carry on in a professional manner.

What's your idea of the perfect Sunday (when you're not working)?
Fresh coffee and croissants in the morning, the gym or a run around midday, football in the afternoon, and then out for an evening meal!
Who do you most admire and why?
Stewart Lee – he makes me laugh and makes a point, whilst always being self-aware.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself and others?
Insecurity in myself; arrogance in others!
Aside from property, what's the most expensive thing you've bought?
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Nashville! I shouldn't like it – but I’m hooked!
How would you like to be remembered?
By my writing, my wit, and my generous nature.
What is the most important lesson life has taught you?
Never expect anyone to take you seriously.

If you could travel back in time, which period would you visit?
The early '60s – to experience the cultural and social revolution that took place at the time.
