This product is really robust Have enjoyed experimenting with different paints, inks and pens and the surface does not shed with any of them and the finished items looks good even with my amateurish level of expertise. 08 February 2013

it expands horizons and imagination given something similar for christmas and then saw this in create and craft .I am using it to make wall plaques by building up and inserting photos and sayings.Have done a lacquered photo of my son winning a badminton tournament and a reminder saying ;bringing back happy and healthier days.Bigger pieces can be made into boxs ,printed over and laminated to use as trinket stores. 07 February 2013
